Here’s everything you need to plan your stay.

Getting here

Killaloe Ballina is roughly 45km from Shannon airport (38 minutes by car) Overseas guests can contact us to arrange shared transport to Resonance.  There are busses that travel to Lough Derg via Limerick from as little as €14. Taxis are available 24/7 from the airport. 

Dublin airport is 187km from Resonance. By car, this is a trip of less than two hours. If you are travelling by public transport, please contact us if you’d like advice on the most convenient routes. 

The nearest train station to Resonance is in Birdhill, a small village 8km from Ballina Killaloe. Shuttles from the train station are available for overseas guests.

Hotel Accommodation

The Lakeside Hotel is our primary accommodation partner for Resonance festival, and has agreed preferential rates for guests who are staying for more than one night. This four star hotel and leisure centre sits on the banks of the Shannon overlooking both towns. You can be assured of wonderful food, award winning hospitality and a very warm welcome.

Things to do

If the various activities at Resonance aren’t keeping you busy enough, there’s plenty to see and do in the region, from adventure activities like kayaking and hillwalking to river-based adventures like boat trips and paddle boarding.

For foodies, there are plenty of tasty eateries to explore all within walking distance of our main hotel venue. To get a taste of what is on offer, check out the dedicated visitors website ‘Discover Lough Derg’ where there’s plenty to keep even the most active visitor busy!
